LIFE PRINCIPLES FROM JABEZ’ LIFE

SCRIPTURE: 1 Chronicles 4:9-10

1. Get God’s attention and seek the honor that comes from God alone—Jabez did!
   (“Jabez was more honorable than his brothers” v.9)
2. Refuse to wear the labels you are given; refuse the negative words spoken about you—Jabez did!
   (“His mother had named him Jabez [pain]….” v.9)
3. Be determined and passionate to see change in your life
   —Jabez was!
   (“Jabez cried out to the God Israel….” v.10
4. Earnestly seek but one thing—God’s blessing and God’s enlargement. Jabez did!
   (“Oh, that you would bless me [indeed] and enlarge my territory,” v.10)
5. Earnestly seek for the Hand of God in your life. Jabez did!
   (“Let your Hand be with me, and keep me from harm…” v.10)
    The Hand of Miracles (Acts 4:29-31)
    The Hand of Protection (Psalm 138:7)
6. Not only pray, but receive what you ask for. Jabez did! [Matthew 21:21-22; 1 John 5:14)
   (“And God granted his request,” v.10)
