OUR PURPOSE
The purpose of the Immanuel’s Church Mentorship Program is to provide training and
education in Christian Ministry. Such ministry includes Apostolic Missions and Church
Planting, Prophetic Ministry, Discipleship Ministry, Evangelistic Ministry, Teaching
Ministry, and Practical Serving Ministry. The areas of specific study will cover Biblical Survey, Church History, Sound Doctrine, Hermeneutics, Counseling Methodology, Leadership Principles, Church Administration, Servanthood, Cell Ministry, Worship, Sermon Preparation and other subjects. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to earn "Certification in Christian Ministry" from Immanuel's School of the Bible. Our goal is to train and equip individuals, who have a background in Christianity, for the purpose of implementing Christian Ministry in their home country. |

OUR CAMPUS & RESOURCES
Founded in 1984, Immanuel's Church cares for nearly 4,000 saints with a trained staff of 16 full-time pastors and 40 full time support staff. The 100,000 square foot facility hosts classrooms, auditoriums, and state of the art equipment used to facilitate our purpose. Trainees attending our program from outside of the metropolitan Washington D.C. area, may be offered on-site housing in a newly renovated home located on our church campus. |

APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
An applicant must be a professing Christian, demonstrating prior service in the area of Christian Ministry. A personal reference must be provided by a sponsor from the applicant's home church. Please see the following six (6) page application. |

- Obtained comprehensive knowledge in Biblical studies from the Old and New Testaments

- Acquired practical skills necessary to establish and maintain an effective Christian Ministry

- Developed leadership skills for training and guiding others in Christian Ministry

- Learned to prepare a strategic plan for launching a ministry

- Learned how to generate financial support necessary for the implementing and sustaining an independent Christian Ministry in their country

ON-THE-JOB TRAINING
During the Mentorship Program, each trainee will participate in weekly church activities and functions in which they will have the opportunity to observe techniques in action, and to put what they have heard into practice. During such activities, the trainee will be individually mentored by a church pastor or elder in order to effectively demonstrate and support the teachings that the trainee has received. This will allow the trainee to gain a greater understanding, while refining the skills necessary for Christian Ministry. |
