Better known as Screwpile lighthouse it was decommissioned in 1966 and moved to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, MD. It was chosen for our web page because it's from Maryland and like most of us it is proving that there can be life after retirement.

Harbor Lights News from April meeting:

Thoughts this month were from Luke 22 – 40 "On reaching the place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation." (NIV) and 46"Why are you sleeping?" he asked them. "Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation."

As Jesus was Himself praying to the Father with the cross looming before Him, how tempting it must have been so say “no, I will not drink from this cup”. Yet he prayed against the temptation to walk away from the cross and paid the ultimate price so that we may live! We should heed the advice He so adamantly gave to His disciples not once but twice – Pray that you may not fall in to temptation when it crosses your path. Amen!

Prayer & Praise:

We had a wonderful time of entering into prayer one for another to close our meeting. There were powerful words of wisdom, healing and a time of entering into a spirit of intercession one for another. What a powerful, special time! If you have not been able to make the meetings you are missing out on a very special change the Lord is bringing to the Harbor Lights ministry as we begin to lift each other up in intercessory prayer. Mark your calendar for the 3rd Sunday after 2nd service and plan to join!
