SUPPORT FOR THE PASTORS WHO HAVE LOST EVERYTHING
Thursday, December 22, 2005
Immanuel’s Church supports pastors who have lost everything. For many, Christmas can be a very depressing and lonely time of the year. Remembering lost loved ones and better days can be devastating, but try to imagine Christmas after Hurricane Katrina and Rita struck our Gulf Coast region this year.
The loss of precious, irreplaceable possessions and loved ones have taken all hope from so many. The Holiday season historically records a marked increase in suicide because of the overwhelming discouragement that holds many in its grip.
Fortunately, there are men and women of God among these hurting souls who are filled with the peace of God that passes all understanding. It is these pastoral families that the Immanuel's Church Disaster Relief Task Force has released grants of $13,500.00 total to help those who are giving hope in the midst of their personal loss.
In cooperation with Minister Tommy Tenney and many other leaders in the region we have targeted pastors who have lost everything, yet continue to serve the Lord in this tragically devastated area. Thank you to all those who continue to give. |
